OOC Information:
Name:Xelloss
Contact Method: E-Mail. It's in my profile.
Age: He's at least 2,850 years old now, maybe more
Nick Names and Titles: The Trickster Priest, Lephisly (Means "Dark One" in the language of dragon's, what they call Xelloss)
Race: Mazoku. A kind of demon/spirit
Type: Custom
Occupation: Priest for his Mistress/Mother
Company: No one knows what Xelloss' true goals are, so it's impossible to say who he really supports, if anyone. He's been allied at some point to nearly everyone, but every single one of them has also been betrayed, double-crossed, moled, reverse moled, abandoned, and/or tricked into advancing their enemies' schemes. Sometimes all at once, and often multiple times in the span of five minutes. They put up with Xelloss nonetheless because a) he's impossible to get rid of anyway, and b) his services, while they last, are just that valuable. However, he often starts following around certain groups that he takes an interest in.
Location: Eastern Lands
Appearance:
Personality: Xelloss has two different personality types, depending on what he's doing. Most of the time he would appear to be a fun loving guy with mystic powers. And he is. But his idea of 'fun' is somewhat different than other characters. Namely, denying other characters critical information, or refusing to help in almost every fight despite being vastly powerful. Xelloss like this loves practical jokes, and he will sometimes will set them up for use in combat. It's quite amusing for an enemy to blinded by pie to face, or be forced into sneezing fits by pepper (These work rather well, surprising). Xelloss is a genius at gathering information, and knows the goals of every single piece on the board, so to speak, before he enters play himself. He is also extremely good at manipulating every piece for the advancement of his own goals, or said piece's enemies goals. When Xelloss fights is when the other personality shows up. If his enemy is weak enough for him to toy with, he will do so until they know they can't beat him, and then he will allow his alternate personality to emerge. He will be cruel, violent, and will send his enemy deeper into despair, and not allow them to escape until he's finished. You see, Xelloss lives off the pain and despair of his enemies, and will get stronger for every drop he absorbs. However, he has a major weakness that most people don't about; when his enemies gush about joy, love, and life, his energy will rapidly be drained. This, unlike his feeding, has no permanent effect, and will fade away after a fight. When this personality is not active, you'll notice his sense of humor is a lot like ours.
History: During the war between the Mazoku and the Shinzoku, The 5 mazoku lords set up a barrier to keep Shinzoku out of their territory. However, this severely limited what they could do in the world, so each created a priest and a general. Except for Zellass. She decided to pour all that power into a single vessel, creating the sixth strongest Mazoku in the world, her son, Xelloss. Xelloss's job was to destroy the dragon servant's of the Shinzoku, wherever he could find them, which he did with pleasure. Xelloss is best known for his destruction of all the ancient dragon's and most of the golden dragon's. When the war ended, Xelloss was charged with a new task; to hunt down and destroy as many Clair Bible manuscripts as possible. The Clair Bible is an archive containing the knowledge of the wisest Shinzoku there was. The manuscripts were incomplete copies, that gave humanity inside the Mazoku barrier the knowledge and power to at least have a chance of fighting off Mazoku. Xelloss did this task by himself, still managing to bring down over 10,000 manuscripts to 1 (the last was indestructible, but so hard to decipher it's almost useless).
After this, he started studying the shikon jewel, as it's aspect of sealing souls caught his interest. He has since been wandering Japan, and collecting shards. During this time, his Mistress and Mother, Zellass Beastmaster, has taken over the eastern lands as a base.
Abilities: Xelloss has almost no weaknesses. He can regenerate fairly quickly, and physical damage is irrelevant because his 'body' isn't really anything like a human's. Mazoku exist primarily on the astral plane, and their body on the physical one is sort of a reverse astral projection. A "physical" projection if you will. Due to this, only certain types of attacks can harm him. Things such as powerful holy attacks, or very powerful shikigami's. However, due to his empathic nature, powerful positive emotions can drain his energy, make him vulnerable to weaker kinds of attacks, and make him incapable of fighting back. His attacks are magical in nature.
Shamanistic school: Rah Tilt
The most powerful spell in all of shamanism, the user sends a small blue orb out of their palm. The orb, upon contact with a living thing or a spirit floods into that thing and shreds their spiritual energy. On physical beings, it inflicts immense psychological damage, and will cripple the use of spiritual and demonic energy. On things spiritual in nature, such as Shikigami, or Mazoku, it rends them asunder, and destroys them.
Shamanistic school: Freeze arrow
The user creates a arrow out of glowing blue, cold energy. They mimic the use of the bow firing it. The arrow freezes anything it is shot into.
Shamanistic school: Flare arrow
The user creates a arrow out of glowing orange, hot energy. They mimic the use of the bow firing it. The arrow burns away at anything it is shot into.
Shamanistic school: Bomb die Wind
A sphere of whirling wind forms in the palm of the user, and then explodes out ward, slicing into everything surrounding them.
Shamanistic school: Earthen Fury
The user sticks their hand just under ground, and takes temporary control of the earth, creating spikes, shields, and other things from the battle field. The downside is that the user must stay in one place while using this.
Demonic School: Tendrils of Inky Darkness
The user grows six thin black tentacles from their aura. these are extremely strong, and can be used to slice through things, batter them senseless, or almost anything the user can think of to do with them.
Demonic school: Omnipresence
Every Mazoku has this ability. They can move their physical avatar to wherever they choose in a kind of teleportation. They simply stop projecting their avatar, then project it in a different place.
Demonic School: Shamanism recombine
The reason Xelloss bothered to learn shamanism. The user can take elements that don't directly oppose each other from shamanism, and use them to create new spells. Such as, combine Earthen Fury, and Flare arrow, and you've got lava popping out of the battle field in places of your choosing. Freeze represents water though, not ice, though it can be used in ice variants.
Demonic Magic: Create Chimera
Xelloss is able to take two or more creatures, sentient or not, and recombine them into a new creature. He chooses one of the creatures as a base, the one who's mind will make up the new creature. For Example.
Human+Demon+Golem= A warrior with a demons magical abilities, a human's intelligence, and a Golems durability. Another Example would actually be NARAKU, but he's got so many different demon's in the mix that their distinct abilities are no longer noticeable.
With this spell, I'm also offering to make player character's into Chimera's. He doesn't really use this spell for minion making, as most who are made into Chimera's resent it.
Weapons: A staff that has a gem that glows different colors depending on what spell he's using.
Sample Role Play: Xelloss looked won from the cliff he was standing on, overlooking The Eastern Lands, where his Mistress had recently taken over. These shikon shards… he thought to himself. How do they work? Why do they exist in the first place? he mused. This would take some time. Sensing a presence Far away he thought. That being… so many shikon shards… he sighed. It’s Naraku, isn’t it? I knew that Freakish Chimera wouldn’t just die…. A grin crossed his face. This time, he spoke out loud. “I do believe it’s time to put my talents to use.” he said, vanishing, looking for some group to manipulate into doing his own work for him. It’s not like he couldn’t try and do it himself, he just preferred to use his manipulation talents instead. That group of Half-Demon, Monk, Demon Slayer, and Priestess out to do the trick. he thought. And why not that shikigami kid too? Activating a seal isn’t THAT much trouble…
